Amazing splendor in the design execution, known as the 'Bokhara' motif or 'elephant footprint' design (actually geometric floral designs) in the spirit yesteryear Tekke carpets. Plush, soft, silk-like pile. Superb quality, long-stapled wool with high sheen and luster adding to great dynamic and contrast from light and dark sides. Colors and shades include: Pale tangerine orange, cherry red, ivory, charcoal, and more. Condition notes: Even original pile height across. Original side cord selvages intact. Fully secured sides and ends. Fringe shows light tinting, discoloration, and a few strands missing. One area close to the outer striped border showing a dust marking to the tips of the wool.
